I've been marketing, selling and business developing open source software for years now (thus, the title of this blog), but I've never really participated in an open source project... until now.
Well, it's not really an open source project as much as it is an open discussion, about what I think is going to be a very important set of issues in the coming years. I actually coined the phrase "civics graph" quite accidentally (as one of those things that just flowed out of a blog post about the election), and it's really just an extension of the "social graph" concept that Facebook has popularized.
But, as opposed to trying to explain it all here, why don't you just check it out for yourself and see what you think. I hope you will participate - because I don't want my first open source project to be a failed open source project. ;-).
